What is the most popular web browser?

Move over Firefox and Internet Explorer, Chrome is now the biggest kid on the block.  According to W3Schools, Google’s Chrome browser surpassed Mozilla’s Firefox browser in March 2012 to become the clear, dominant winner in the latest browser wars.  Back in April 2011, Google Chrome surpassed Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser but was still trailing way behind Firefox at the time.  But now, as you can see in the chart below, Google Chrome is clearly the dominant browser and if history is any indication, it will likely command 80% of the market share, just like Google currently dominates search.  If I were to predict, I would say that Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) is going the way of Microsoft Bing and Mozilla’s Firefox is going the way of Yahoo.
