Today we began taking the factors that Blake, Joyce, Luis, and I had identified as being key indicators of an SEO performance and planning how this information would be used to build our tool at SEOQ.com. While SEOQ.com does currently check for some of the factors, it lacks depth and sophistication in its algorithm. This week we are focused on ensuring that the algorithm we implement into the new project can more accurately assess a website’s performance as well as give more insight back to the user about how to improve.
It was great having Kunal and Jesse on our team the last couple days because it helps to have an extra set of hands, eyes, and brains when engineering the algorithm. We agreed on a basic premise of a weighting system for the factors and began assigning weights. I am excited to get the product up and running so that we can begin testing what we’ve listed so far.
Today was a good day. Tomorrow will be better.
