This past weekend, Agileana and InQbation Labs co-sponsored an impressive hackathon event, reaching hundreds of young entrepreneurs and leaders, creating unforeseen opportunity for disruptive startups and their founders in the Washington DC metro area. This event was held in conjunction with 19 other cities worldwide participating so it was a busy and fun-filled 2 days with me giving a mini keynote and Luis being one of the judges for the demos.
We mentored and scouted great technical talent among the high schools and colleges in the area. We also learned more about Raytheon and other companies that were at the hackathon and it was a great chance to network and discuss the future of the east coast start up atmosphere.
With the winning teams all receiving laptops and other prizes and the #1 team advancing to the global round to compete for seed funding there is a great promise that the next startup unicorn is bubbling right in our own backyard.
