Today Joyce, Kunal, Jessie, and I split up to make some meaningful progress on SEOQ.com. Jessie and Kunal spent time on the user interface and data visualization, Joyce and I got into the details of the actual algorithm that will provide the service. We are taking into account a variety of SEO factors but trying to go deeper than other tools in order to properly analyze them. This process is difficult as we have to be sure of the way we are translating raw data from our scraper and Majestic services into a manageable score.
This score will then be used in the weighting system that can be adjusted as we test and by SEO professionals. I am enjoying the technical challenge of defining the algorithm and coordinating our technical efforts.
Today was good, tomorrow will be better.
