Agileana wins 10-Year Web/Mobile Support Services contract with the Smithsonian Institution

The Smithsonian Institution, Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), has awarded an Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to Agileana to assist in supporting its websites, web application, and mobile applications to the Smithsonian’s 19 museums, the National Zoo, 9 research centers, and numerous research programs. The Base Contract is awarded for a period of ten (10) years.

The Smithsonian Institution is the world’s largest museum and research complex. This non-profit trust created by Congress serves the mission to increase and diffuse knowledge. It’s primary activities include:

  • Collections
  • Exhibitions, education and public programs
  • Research
  • Fundraising

The institution’s web presence is made up of over 200 public websites of varying size and complexity. The Smithsonian has been evolving its web presence into a more homogenous Drupal and WordPress-based environment that leverages the central services architecture.
