Benji Damron
An aspiring powerlifter and papier-mache artist, Benji brings a wealth of experience in multiple fields to the table.
Benji claims he "accidentally" fell into web development.
After stints as a roofer and a restaurant manager, brushes with retail sales, veterinary intake and print purchasing, a smattering of digital publishing, being a New York City public school special education teacher, an assistant to a CEO and medical records department manager for a neurologist, Benji took a friend up on a casual offer.
“Hey, would you like to work for me? You can work from home and it’s more money than you make now.”
“Sure.”
Which is his answer to any question about, well, pretty much anything you ask him to do. His background in philosophy (for which his teenage children constantly make fun of him) has given him the solid belief that anything you can dream up is something he will try and succeed at.
“Work for me” meant building email blasts for state and local politicians. And since then his skills have steadily increased, making him a solid Drupal developer.
Benji likes to take on the tasks that have other developers running for the hills. If it has never been done, he will jump at the chance to do it. “Hey can you…?” He’ll respond with his deadpan but confident, “probably.” And then he will deliver.
