Josh Taylor
Taylor is a customer-focused leader whose career has steadily evolved from hands-on web developer to senior leader. With more than a decade of experience bridging business and engineering teams, Josh specializes in turning vision and ideas into clear, actionable plans and improving the systems and processes that surround them. Rooted in business analysis, sharpened at fast-growing startups and digital agencies, and guided by agile principles, Josh leverages a combination of business and technical acumen to apply methods that will actually succeed in a given engagement, aligning technical delivery with real business outcomes.
Josh began his career as a web developer and technical project manager at digital agencies in Tennessee, working across .NET, Sitefinity, and PHP/MySQL stacks before moving into business analysis and Drupal solutions architecture. As Business Analyst and Technical Project Manager at MCN Interactive in Nashville, Josh served as principal solutions architect and product owner for the firm's largest account, leading a four-person engineering team and managing requirements for a complex Drupal CMS web application. It was here that Josh's natural shift toward leadership began, pairing technical depth with the project ownership and stakeholder management that would define the next phase of his career.
That early grounding in Drupal led to nearly eleven years at Acquia, the leading enterprise Drupal company, where Josh grew from Technical Account Manager into Senior Business Architect and Program Manager. Public sector work was central to this journey. Josh served as a customer-facing technical consultant for federal and government Drupal customers, owning the full breadth of their needs across the platform and the open-source CMS. Inside Acquia, Josh took on increasingly strategic work across Customer Success, Support leadership, and the Strategic Program Management Office, driving cross-functional initiatives that touched Product Management, IT, Finance, and Marketing.
As Senior Business Analyst at WebFirst, Josh stepped further into the public sector agency space, setting direction across more than twelve client engagements rather than executing on just one. Josh led a sweeping process and systems overhaul that standardized Jira configurations, agile methodologies, access controls, and requirements management across the portfolio, and architected a reusable, milestone-organized requirements template of more than 100 tickets to support a complex Drupal CMS powering bi-annual international retail trade shows. Josh also partnered with clients on the discovery and implementation of LLM, RAG, and generative AI integrations, helping organizations navigate AI mandates with the same disciplined approach he brings to every modernization effort.
Today, Josh continues that leadership trajectory at Agileana, applying his blend of Drupal depth, public sector experience, and program leadership to help clients deliver mission-critical digital systems. He holds SAFe 6 Agilist, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Certified Scrum Master, Drupal 8 Foundations, and Google Analytics certifications, along with a Customer Experience Program certificate from Lindenwood University, Leading SAFe for Government course completion, and a project management course at the University of South Carolina. He’s also spent significant time with hands-on applied research using local LLMs, LangChain, vector databases, RAG, MCP, and AI orchestration tooling to ensure his leadership stays grounded in the technologies actively reshaping the industry.
Josh leads with a rare blend of technical fluency, business acumen, and program discipline. He’s committed to building systems, processes, and teams that are practical, scalable, and genuinely useful to the people who depend on them.
